What’s new 2/23/06

Thursday, February 23rd, 2006

Tried to go to the Sugimoto talk at the Hirshhorn last Thursday, but was about eight people back in the line of folks who didn’t get in. This seems to happen frequently - I’m not sure why they don’t issue tickets like the other Smithsonians. The most amusing part is that the people working the desk always seem surprised, with the “nothing we can do” attitude coming out in spades. Of course, I’m just bitter since it was apparently a good talk.

What’s new 2/16/06

Thursday, February 16th, 2006

The David Seymour (”Chim”) exhibit at Corcoran opens 3/18, not sometime last week. Don’t know when it changed on the Corcoran site, but sorry for the incorrect date. The student exhibit by Chris Combs opening this evening at the Corcoran looks really good, so go to that instead. Then head over to the Hirshhorn to hear from Hiroshi Sugimoto. It is beautiful weather today, so you have no excuse not to get out!
